Personal Storyline[]

Series 1[]

Yasmin is distraught after her brother, Adam Deardon is killed in a car crash because of Donte Charles. He refuses to admit it and so she becomes very angry with him and his girlfriend, Chlo Grainger. She is so upset, she causes a mini-riot at her brother’s memorial service. She goes to a counseling session with head of pastoral care, Kim Campbell. Yasmin reluctantly follows Janeece and a boy, Hadley Flynn, who has a crush on her to tie Donte to a shelf in a cupboard in attempt to get a confession from him. Mr. Treneman shows Yasmin the note from Donte to Adam asking for forgiveness and so she tells Ms. Campbell where to find Donte and begins to forgive him, much to Janeece’s disgust.

Yasmin was left devastated following the death of her brother. She was convinced that her parents cared more about Adam's demise than if she had been the one killed, and that Donte Charles, who was driving the car, knew more about the accident than he was letting on. Along with best friend, Janeece Bryant, Yasmin arranged for Donte to be brutally beaten by known bully Hadleigh Flynn, who pulled a knife on him.

Later in the day, deputy head Andrew Treneman showed Yasmin a letter which Donte had written to Adam in which he showed heartfelt remorse and expressed a wish that he had died instead. Realising that Donte was truly sorry, Yasmin had a change of heart and managed to stop Hadleigh before Donte was seriously hurt.

Yasmin later attended Donte's court hearing, at which he was found guilty but given a suspended sentence instead of any further prison time. Yasmin and Adam's parents were disgusted, but Yasmin conceded to Donte that Adam would have hated to see him go to prison. She is not seen again after this.
