Zachary "Zack" Diamond first arrives in Series 7 Episode 12 and departs in Episode 30 as he goes back to live with his mum. He was portrayed by Lee Abbate.
Personality & Backstory[]
He has little confidence and is easily embarrassed and. His dad wants him to be sporty but unfortunately Zack doesn't have the same amount of skill as the rest of the boys, so he is always left on the bench in matches! He just wants his dad to be proud of him but he often feels like he doesn't fit in.
Storylines[]
Series 7[]
Zack arrives at Waterloo Road with his mum Sarah Brown and his sister Madi Diamond. Sarah dumps the two into Jez Diamond's care and leaves. Zack craves his father’s approval, and feels downcast that his dad leaves him on the benches. Whilst at Waterloo Road, he becomes best friends with Naseem Siddiqui and Harley Taylor.
After feeling that he was so different from his father, in both personality, physicality and looks, Zack goes behind his dads back and takes a DNA test without his permission. When Jez eventually finds out about this, he too is scared to see the results as he also had his doubts. However they look at the results and see that they are in fact father and son.
In Series 8, Madi mentions that Zack went to live back with his mum.
